Cancer Kinda Sucks...

Last week I had some swelling in the extraction area.  I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day.  They took a look and found I had a small infection and a bite mark.  The infection caused so swelling and I seem to have bitten the swelling making it worse. They opened the flap from the extraction and cleaned things out as best the could and gave a a prescription for antibiotics to keep it from getting infected again prior to my treatment. Almost a week later things still feel good...  So I am hoping it stays that way. The only anxiety I am having right now is that something is going to push treatment back and I absolutely don't want that.  So I am hypersensitive to anything going wrong. The appointment went well and all is on track.  First thing Monday is my mediport appointment.

While most are excited for the couple's festivities, I went in for my simulation.  Amazingly this was not very time consuming.  A mask was made along with a mouth guard.  This is all to guarantee I don't move during radiation and that I am in the same position every single appointment. I then headed up to Short Pump to enjoy the weekend.

During my X-rays last week, an infection was found above a front tooth I had a root canal done on. Several times last week in other appointments, I was asked about my upcoming tooth extraction. So I got my material ready to create an ex hockey persona ... Anyhow - Dr Pink destroyed this dream.  He was able to remove the old root canal material and clean out most of the infection.  He cleaned up the tooth and refilled it and 2 hours later I was back to my normal. Next appointment is Friday for the simulation.
